Liberty Military - The climax of the exercises is expected to come in the spring, from late April to early May, in northeastern France. Around 12,000 troops in total will be deployed on the ground and in the skies to repel a high-intensity air-land invasion of "Arnland" by "Mercure".

The Housing Services Office can assist single and married service members find off-base housing. The Rental Partnership Program helps JBLM single and married service members and their families find affordable, off-base housing. The intent is to help ease the financial stress of PCS moves and other major transitions by encouraging landlords to provide a 5 percent or more discount on monthly rent, waive security/rent deposits and waive fees for credit checks.

JBLM has taken great strides towards providing service members and their families with the quality housing they deserve. JBLM Family Housing participates in the Residential Communities Initiative program conducted by the Department of the Army.
The Army has chosen a management and development partner from the private sector to manage the family housing communities, to build new housing, renovate existing housing and demolish and rebuild existing housing in other areas. ER Editor: We're really not sure what this keeping'em busy exercise is all about except that 7,000 conventionally trained French troops stand no chance against Russian forces in Ukraine.

On-Base Lodging - IHG Army Hotels manages and operates the day-to-day functions of on base lodging. Personnel interested in making on base lodging arrangements may contact IHG Army Hotels at 1-877-711-TEAM or click ⚠ here. Because JBLM lodging has been privatized, personnel are no longer required to obtain a Statement of Non-Availability to make off base lodging arrangements.
If you are on PCS orders, ask the IHG Front Desk staff about the Special BAH Rate Promotion before checking in. For a list of extended stay and lodging options in the JBLM area that offer service members special rates, please email JBLM HSO.
Options provided will include hotels offering special extended stay rates and rental homes that can be rented on a short-term basis. For rental properties that offer leases of three months or longer, please contact the HSO via email or by phone at 253-967-3581.
Eligible service members may apply in advance for on base housing by clicking HERE and see the current Waiting List average times by clicking HERE or by visiting the Liberty Military Housing Leasing Center in Building 5128 on Pendleton Avenue upon arrival at JBLM.
The National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal 2020 sets out rights of military service members and their families (tenants) residing in privatized housing. The DOD commits to ensuring that privatized housing tenants receive quality housing and fair treatment form the Military Housing Privatization Initiative project owners (MHPI companies) that operate and maintain privatized housing.
The Housing Division is closed on all federal holidays. This includes the DPW Housing Office (Oversight for RCI Liberty Military Housing), Unaccompanied Housing Personnel Branch, Furnishings Management Office and Housing Services Office. We apologize for the inconvenience to customers.
There are approximately 5,000 family housing units in 22 communities. Each is equipped with a stove and refrigerator, dishwasher and/or disposal, and washer/dryer hook-up. Many of the units have either a carport or garage. Home type pictures and floor plans can be viewed at Lewis-McChord Communities.
A civil-military phase three focusing on the civilian support operations backing the armed forces in the event of a major engagement (medical and transport services, etc.), the reserves and information warfare will last through the end of March.
The Department of Defense is fully committed to ensuring our nation's most valued resource - its military service members and their families - have access to safe, quality, and well-maintained homes and communities on DOD installations.
JBLM has 5,159 privatized homes on-base for military families. Currently, JBLM housing is in the middle of a six-year, $100 million project to renovate and modernize almost a thousand homes (2020-2026). For this reason, many homes on base are vacant awaiting renovation.
Additionally, some homes on base are not occupied due to between-occupancy-maintenance. The following information is provided to keep you updated on JBLM housing renovation and maintenance status. Residing in base housing is voluntary, not mandatory, except for personnel assigned to key and essential positions, as designated by the installation commander.
All service members assigned to JBLM are eligible to apply for base housing. The war games are being conducted in four phases over the next few months. Following the weekend's maneuvers, which were part of phase two operations after the phase one planning stage, French troops will conduct war games in the Massif de la Gardiole region north of Frontignan until March 11.
